There is an ancient legend among the Native Americans. A long time ago, one of their ancestors, a race of humanoids, lived united with an equine race. Both of their expressions of consciousness formed a single unit in each individual. How can this be? They galloped on the endless plains and lived in prairies and forests. This was a symbiotic experience. Somehow, they were cleaved apart. But a tiny thread of memory yet remains of the multi-conscious united beings.

Perhaps it was more complicated than the respectable binary unit. Perhaps once, there were platforms, like the one centered in the image. Also, we know of centaurs and sphinxes, yet did we believe those to be true? Quadrille proposes a multi-functional anthropoid-loco-motif chassis and five to seven positions for the inhabitants. One of the inhabitants here on the right, at the front, proffers a certain regal indigenous attitude, like a sphinx, well driving the platform into the venture. While the rectangular platform has insect eyes on the right side, it’s cutting and shearing and incandescent frontal proboscis indicates it is a drill. The platform has multi-pronged locomotive appendages. Several other entities, heads protruding along the length of the back down the platform, occupy the transitory machine. The body and back of the machine can be likened to a mountain chain on the horizon, or a pyramid holding magmic energy. The “tail” section is inhabited by an entity. Another head protrudes from the “tail,” and creates a two-headed or double-ended ramming and fixing ambulatory device.

Within the legs of the drilling machine, posed shadows reveal another set of participants, probably the mechanics and engineers who service this equipment.

The regal, sphinx-like head is copper-brown. It has a condemning frown, but that may be irrepressible resolve. He has a communication array braced on his temple, boring energetic plasma into his brain electrode. The feeder cables are tied into parts of his skull. It does seem unbelievable that the heads-only beings on the back of the mount would be stuck there, unable to re-substantiate their respective bodies.

The greater length of the TIF image makes it more useful for discerning the large silhouette at the vertical center of the image. The TIF image has an extra-low border which contains multiple figures. A complete face in profile is visible, as well as many aspects of the profiled head. This head shape is visible in the JPG as well. The head shape occupies the dark side of the vertical line dividing the right-third of the image. Many alien visages can elucidated.
